Venice Access Fee – Dates and Essential Information
A fee is required to access Venice, unless specific exemptions apply.
The fee is not required from 4:00 PM to 8:30 AM.
Dates on which the fee will be applied
April: 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30
May: 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, 24, 29, 30, 31
June: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21, 26, 27, 28
July: 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26
Price: €5.00 up to the fourth-to-last day before the access date — €10.00 after the fourth-to-last day before the access date
BOOKING REQUIRED: also for students and exempt individuals!
Exemptions from the Access Fee: To obtain the exemption, registration and acquisition of the exemption voucher are required, except for the following cases:

Residents and Individuals Born in the Municipality of Venice: Show a document proving the status.

Children under 14: Show a document if the condition is not evident.

Students of Schools and Universities: Present the student card issued by institutions based in the historic city of Venice or other minor lagoon islands. Registration available for students from institutions that do not issue cards.

Individuals Registered in the Temporary Population Registry: Show the notification letter of registration received from the Municipality of Venice. Registration and exemption voucher acquisition available.

Persons with Disabilities: Show the European Disability Card and one accompanying person. Registration available for those without the Disability Card.

Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Personnel: Show the service ID when travelling to Venice for service reasons (including Firefighters).

The Lace Museum, located in the heart of the island of Burano, preserves over two centuries of Venetian lace-making history, featuring precious examples, educational explanations, and the opportunity to watch master lace-makers at work — guardians of a unique artisanal tradition.
