Excursion to the 3 islands: Murano - Burano - Torcello
Set sail from Venice for a boat tour to discover the islands of Murano, Burano, and Torcello with an onboard guide. Depending on the chosen option, departure can be from San Marco - Pontile Cornoldi or from Venice railway station, near KFC.
Our first stop is Murano: here, you will discover why this island is renowned worldwide for glassmaking, visit a local furnace, and watch a master glassmaker at work during a live demonstration.
Overall, you will have about one hour of free time on the island to browse the shops and shop in the numerous artisan glass stores.
You will then continue to Burano, famous for its ancient lace tradition and colorful houses: here you will have about two hours of free time where you can choose a nice place for lunch or taste typical Venetian aperitifs, or enjoy a gelato at one of the island's many cafés. If you wish, with our ticket you will be able to enter the Lace Museum free of charge (to be requested from the guide).
From Burano, you will finally move to Torcello, the oldest lagoon settlement: here you will have about one hour to explore the island independently, with the possibility to visit the Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta and admire its famous Veneto-Byzantine mosaics (entrance ticket not included).
Return to San Marco & Railway station is scheduled for the late afternoon.
During the navigation: admire the typical flora and fauna of the lagoon and watch in the distance the planes taking off from Marco Polo Airport.
In Murano: visit the Basilica of Santi Maria e Donato and the Church of San Pietro Martire, two historical testimonies of the island (entrance tickets not included).
In Burano: stroll to Piazza Galuppi with its famous leaning bell tower, discover the ancient art of lace-making by browsing the island's shops, take a selfie in front of Casa di Bepi — the most colorful house on the island — and taste the traditional risotto with goby fish (ghiozzo, a typical fish of the Venetian lagoon).
In Torcello: walk along the evocative Devil’s Bridge, one of the last bridges without railings remaining in the lagoon, or capture the moment with a selfie sitting on the famous Attila’s Throne.
