Venice excursion + the two islands of Murano and Burano in 1 day!
Depart from Punta Sabbioni at one of the available times (9:15, 10:00 or 10:30) and, sailing across the charming Venetian Lagoon, reach San Marco – Pontile Cornoldi in about 30 minutes. Once arrived, you will have some free time to discover the city and immerse yourself in its unique atmosphere.
From the arrival point, at 1:00 pm the departure for Murano is scheduled, the world’s most famous glass island. Following the instructions of our guide, you will visit one of the local factories and attend a live demonstration of glassmaking. At the end, you can explore the island, take photos and browse through the many artistic glass shops. (total time on the island of about 1 hour)
The next stop is Burano, famous for its lace and brightly colored houses. You will have about one hour of free time to stroll through the picturesque streets and taste some local specialties.
The return to Punta Sabbioni is scheduled for 5:00 pm, concluding a day full of art, colors and traditions of the Venetian lagoon.
During the navigation: observe the MOSE, the mobile dam system designed to protect Venice from high tides. Admire the typical flora and fauna of the lagoon and watch in the distance the planes taking off from Marco Polo Airport.
In Venice: explore St. Mark’s Square and climb the majestic Bell Tower to enjoy a breathtaking view of the city from a height of 60 meters. Visit St. Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s Palace (entrance tickets not included).
In Murano: visit the Basilica of Santi Maria e Donato and the Church of San Pietro Martire, two historical testimonies of the island (entrance tickets not included).
In Burano: stroll to Piazza Galuppi with its famous leaning bell tower, discover the ancient art of lace-making by browsing the island's shops, take a selfie in front of Casa di Bepi — the most colorful house on the island — and taste the traditional biscuit: Bussolà.
