Excursion to the two islands of Murano and Burano + Venice in 1 day!
The tour departs from Punta Sabbioni and takes you to discover two authentic gems of local craftsmanship.
Enjoy a mini cruise towards San Marco, where you will make a brief stop to embark additional passengers. You will then sail on to Murano, renowned worldwide for its ancient glassmaking techniques. Here you will visit one of the island’s well-known glass factories and attend a live demonstration, admiring the craftsmen’s mastery in creating works of art in glass. After this fascinating experience, you will have some free time to stroll around the island, immersing yourself in its unique atmosphere and browsing among the artistic glass workshops (total time on the island of approximately 1 hour).
Together with our guide, the journey will continue towards Burano, a picturesque island famous for its lace and its brightly coloured houses, where you can explore the narrow streets of the village and admire the vividly hued buildings. You will have approximately one hour at your disposal to be captivated by the island’s authentic charm. If you wish, with our ticket you will be able to enter the Lace Museum free of charge (to be requested from the guide).
The tour ends at San Marco - Pontile Cornoldi, around 3:30 PM, where you can enjoy free time in the heart of Venice, admiring the famous square and historical monuments. Shuttles for the return to Punta Sabbioni depart from the arrival point at 4:45 PM or 6:00 PM, giving you the flexibility to choose the most convenient time for you.
During the navigation: observe the MOSE, the mobile dam system designed to protect Venice from high tides. Admire the typical flora and fauna of the lagoon and watch in the distance the planes taking off from Marco Polo Airport.
In Murano: visit the Basilica of Santi Maria e Donato and the Church of San Pietro Martire, two historical testimonies of the island (entrance tickets not included).
In Burano: stroll to Piazza Galuppi with its famous leaning bell tower, discover the ancient art of lace-making by browsing the island's shops, take a selfie in front of Casa di Bepi — the most colorful house on the island — and taste the traditional biscuit: Bussolà.
In Venice: explore Piazza San Marco and climb the majestic Campanile to enjoy a breathtaking view of the city from 60 meters high. Visit the Basilica of San Marco and the Doge’s Palace (entrance tickets not included).
