Excursion to Venice + two islands of Murano and Burano in 1 day!
Depart from Punta Sabbioni at one of the available times (9:15, 10:00, or 10:30) and cross the evocative Venetian Lagoon to reach San Marco - Pontile Cornoldi in approximately 30 minutes. Once arrived, you will have free time to explore the city and immerse yourself in its unique atmosphere.
At 1:00 PM, depart for Murano, the world’s most famous glass island. Following the guidance of our guide, you will visit one of the local factories and watch a live glassmaking demonstration. Afterwards, you can explore the island, take photos, and browse the numerous artisan glass shops. (total time on the island approximately 1 hour)
The next stop is Burano, famous for its lace and brightly colored houses. You will have about one hour of free time to stroll through the picturesque streets and taste some local specialties.
Return to Punta Sabbioni is scheduled for 5:00 PM, concluding a day full of art, colors, and traditions of the Venetian lagoon.
During the navigation: observe the MOSE, the mobile dam system designed to protect Venice from high tides. Admire the typical flora and fauna of the lagoon and watch in the distance the planes taking off from Marco Polo Airport.
Explore Piazza San Marco and climb the majestic Campanile to enjoy a breathtaking view of the city from 60 meters high. Visit the Basilica of San Marco and the Doge’s Palace (entrance tickets not included).
In Murano: visit the Basilica of Santi Maria e Donato and the Church of San Pietro Martire, two historical testimonies of the island (entrance tickets not included).
In Burano: stroll to Piazza Galuppi with its famous leaning bell tower, discover the ancient art of lace-making by browsing the island's shops, take a selfie in front of Casa di Bepi — the most colorful house on the island — and taste the traditional biscuit: Bussolà.
